About This Service

A repair isn't complete until it's verified. At Tom Wood Collision Center, every vehicle goes through a comprehensive post-repair inspection and quality control process before it's returned to you. This final step confirms that structural repairs meet manufacturer specifications, safety systems function correctly, paint and finish work is up to standard, and every detail of the repair has been executed properly. Quality control isn't an extra service it's a built-in part of how we return vehicles to their owners.

What We Do

Our post-repair inspection and quality control process includes:

Final structural repair inspection against manufacturer specifications
Safety system validation (airbags, seatbelts, crumple zones)
ADAS system function testing (lane keep, emergency braking, etc.)
Paint finish quality assessment (color match, texture, clear coat)
Panel alignment and gap consistency verification
Glass, trim, and hardware installation check
Mechanical and electrical system function test
Road test to confirm drive quality and alignment
Interior cleanliness and repair residue removal
Documentation of all repairs, parts, and validations

Every item is verified by a technician separate from the one who performed the repair a second-set-of-eyes quality check that catches issues before they reach the customer.

WHY TOM WOOD COLLISION

The repair process involves dozens of procedures, hundreds of parts, and multiple technicians. Without a formal quality control process, small issues can slip through a misaligned panel, an incomplete calibration, a paint imperfection. At best, those issues create frustration and require a return visit. At worst, they create safety risks.
Tom Wood Collision Center treats quality control as a distinct process, not an afterthought. Every vehicle is inspected against a comprehensive checklist before release. Issues are caught internally, not by the customer. This commitment to quality is part of why we back our repairs with a Lifetime Limited Warranty and part of why we have over 688 five-star Google reviews from Indianapolis drivers.
